I will leave Florence, Oregon around the end of April 2007 and expect to end up in Yorktown, Virgina about 80 days later. I picked this route because there isn't a tremendous amount of traffic and most of the roads have paved shoulders. I chose the west to east direction because I hope to gain an edge with the prevailing westerly winds. I will start my rides at day break, so the drawback to this route will be facing the bright early morning sun for an hour or so each day.
